Central Station, Basin Lake and Lake McKenzie

Day 2 was an inland K’gari day from Eurong, with Central Station, the walk to Basin Lake, lunch back at the vehicles and an afternoon at Lake McKenzie before returning to Eurong for ice creams.

Day 2 report

Inland from Eurong

For Day 2 we headed out of Eurong towards Central Station, leaving the beach behind for the inland tracks and rainforest section of K’gari.

At Central Station we parked up and hiked to Basin Lake. After the walk we returned to the vehicles for lunch, then headed on to Lake McKenzie for the afternoon.

From there it was back to Eurong, with ice creams to finish the day.
