The Mackay Thunder Run
Sunday’s Thunder Run started from the Mackay Showgrounds, with hundreds of bikes heading out together for a loop through Mackay. It was the best Thunder Run I have been involved with, made even better by the number of locals who came out along the route to watch us ride past and support the event.
After completing the approximately 52-kilometre route, we returned to the showgrounds for lunch, the Show and Shine, Chapter games and burnouts. The size of the group, the atmosphere and the support from the Mackay community made it the main highlight of the rally.
