Rodeo first, then The Wet Whistles
On Saturday 10 October I headed to Pinkland Park in Thornlands for Grass Roots Rodeo 2026.
The rodeo filled the afternoon and carried on as the sun dropped behind the arena. It made for a good local night out and the changing light gave the arena a pretty impressive backdrop.
Once the rodeo finished, The Wet Whistles took over the stage. I joked afterwards that it felt like a Wet Whistles concert with a rodeo as the opening act, which is probably the simplest way to sum up the night.
This entry keeps the story straightforward: rodeo action, a great sunset over Pinkland Park and live music to finish.
